The Mission of our Parish Family

We, the people of St. Anne, show we are followers of Jesus Christ by warmly welcoming all as our brothers and sisters, with open arms and hearts, by meeting, greeting and treating others as Jesus would.  We believe our primary gift is that we are a welcoming parish, inspired by St. Paul's words, “Be generous in offering hospitality” (Romans 12:13).

A missionary spirit has always been integral to our St. Anne community. It began 100 years ago when we were founded as a missionary parish. We share our faith and our gifts from God with people of all ages, heritages, nationalities, beliefs and cultures. We celebrate our differences and use our talents and gifts to bring the Good News of Christ to all and to build up God's Kingdom by reaching out to people in our neighborhoods and communities. We wear our diversity as a badge of honor and we strive to treat all with care, concern, and respect.

Generations of our parish family, past and present, embody the loving spirit of St. Anne. We have inherited the rich spiritual legacy of a caring community. We build on this powerful community spirit so that, “They will know we are Christians by our love.”  The core of our discipleship lies in our great affection for one another.  Encouraged by St. Paul we are called to “Love one another with mutual affection, anticipate one another in showing respect.” (Romans 12: 10).  We focus on Jesus' example of His great love by participating in small faith sharing groups where we share our faith and our deepest joys and struggles. In doing so, we give and receive our Father's love so that our interactions with others will profoundly witness to our suffering world, because “God is love and when we live in love, we live in God and God lives in us.” (1 John 4:16)

As the Body of Christ, we celebrate, pray and worship together in order to deepen our spirituality and increase our love and commitment to Jesus in the Eucharist. Our efforts, as disciples of Jesus, to go forth to live the Mass and to minister and care for others are strengthened and fueled through daily prayer, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the celebration of the Mass. Our vision is to revitalize our parish family and encourage everyone to become intentional disciples of Jesus. It is our hope to see more and more of our parish answer this call. We want our parish to be a place that preserves our rich legacy of spirituality, community and welcoming.  The spirit of our patron, St. Anne, the mother of Mary and the grandmother of Jesus, inspires us to move outward to love, to serve and to care for all the people God has placed in our lives.  Her spirit moves us to dream big dreams as she walks with us on our journey.
